Flood Response

Bangladesh has been hit with one of the worst floods in years, with millions in Sylhet and Sunamganj now homeless and without any belongings. In this regard, with the support of Habitat For Humanity, HEED Bangladesh implemented a project named “Northeastern Bangladesh Flood Response Project-2022”. The project was funded by the Disaster Relief Fund, the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), and the Tithe. The main Goal of this short-term project was to provide the essential household materials and house-Building tools where 22 items were included to the people who are dreadfully affected by the Flash flood. This support was provided to the worst affected six Unions of Companigonj and Biswanath Upazila of Sylhet District. Through this project, HEED Bangladesh has supported a total of 8,470 people. The distribution was started at 13^th October and on November 14, 2022, the Field level activities were completed.
