TB Preventive Therapy
TPT is one of the major activities of USAID’s ACTB Project. It is a priority activity of the National tuberculosis control program (NTP). Under the supervision of icddr,b and in collaboration with USAID’s ACTB project and GFATM, HEED Bangladesh implements this program. In July 2021 to June 2022, total 3,05,509 people were screened, 20,281 presumptive were identied and 2,850 TB cases were diagnosed.

Under TPT intervention, A total of 45,708 members of the family of 11,086 TB patients were screened and 10,847 of them were enrolled under TPT within this quarter. Through TPT activity which is one of the unique and significant activities by which a total of 245 persons have been identified as new TB patients.
