Babuganj, is the name of a village of South Aicha Upazila of Bhola district. Md. Ibrahim Howlader, a 24 year boy and his family live there. Since 1998, after his birth he had grown up with a struggling family, he has seen financial crisis in his family as his family earning source is farming based. He studied up to standard IX, after that he could not continue his study due to financial crisis of his family.
After being a dropout from standard IX, Md. Ibrahim Howlader decided to earn money to help his parents. But where and how he will find work to earn? While he was looking forward to earn money through any job/work, he failed several times as he was not experienced nor a technical expert in any field. He was frustrated and lost his hope! One day he was talking for his job and frustrated life with his friends, one man (who is a religious leader), called Md. Ibrahim and shared about the HEED Private Polytechnic Institute (HPI). He took address from the religious leader and came to the HPI to know about technical courses and its future. Two days later he came to HPI and met with the Principal Mr. Shadhon Kumar Paul and collected all the information about short trade courses, i.e., Electrical House Wiring, Computer Office Application, Welding and Mobile Phone Servicing. Afterwards, he decided to enroll for 360 hours short course, which is entitled: “Mobile Phone Servicing”.
Md. Ibrahim Howladar decided that he would learn mobile phone servicing and become self-dependent entrepreneur. But it was very difficult for him to receive training in any subject with money, so he was frustrated and broken!! In December 2021, he came to know that mobile phone servicing will be taught for three months (December-2021 to March-2022) at HPI, Bhola under the supervision of Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and with the fund of European Union (EU). As soon as he heard, Md. Ibrahim was very happy and he took advantage of this opportunity to enroll in HPI and took three months of mobile phone servicing training and learned the theoretical and practical work very deeply. He has successfully completed his short course training on “Mobile Phone Servicing”. At present, he is working in a mobile phone servicing shop in Char Fasson Bazar in Bhola.
‘’My parents are happy now because I can contribute financially for our family needs, I spend money for my family needs and for myself and for my younger brother’s education purpose. I am very much happy and enthusiastic because I am able to take financial burden of my family’’, said Md. Ibrahim. ‘’On behalf of my family and myself, I want to extend my gratitude and thankfulness to the HEED Private Polytechnic Institute (HPI) and HEED Bangladesh for their support and contributions.
